The Kadyrov Cup, the Semenov Cup, and the Kunaev all caused major shakeup’s at 70 KG and the return of old faces along with new contenders. The Kadyrov Cup saw Soslan Ramonov make the finals with wins over Israil Kasumov and Alan Gogaev but be tech falled by Rasul Arsanaliev and take silver. For bronze, Gogaev would beat Kasumov for bronze. At the Semenov, Ramonov would beat #4 Anzor Zakuev handedly in the qualification round then lose to eventual champ Israil Kasumov 9-7 in the semis. Kasumov would win the Semenov cup title with a 5-3 win over Alan Gogaev, who made the finals via a 7-2 win over Intercontinental Cup champ #5 Aznaut Tavaev. Then you go to the Kunaev, and Tavaev beats #2 Evgeni Zherbaev 8-7 in the semis and wins the title over Revolii Samsonov. And to add onto this, #4 Cherman Valiev loses in the U-23 world finals to #12(INT) Mirza Skhulukhia (GEO) by pin.
